Brake Band Renewal & Brake Test
Brake bands are relined with class-approved brake lining material and adjusted to correct clearance. Brake capacity is tested to 60% of MBL of the associated mooring line under attending class surveyor with dynamometer records.
Gearbox & Bearing Overhaul
Winch and windlass gearboxes are opened, cleaned, gear teeth inspected for wear and pitting, bearings renewed and reassembled with correct backlash and lubrication.
Electric & Hydraulic Drives
Electric motors are dismantled, cleaned, insulation tested and — where required — rewound. Hydraulic motors and pumps are overhauled with pressure testing and control valve service.
Warping Head & Chain Wheel
Warping heads, chain wheels and gypsy heads are inspected for wear, refurbished by machining or weld build-up and returned to specification, ensuring safe cable and chain handling.
Function Test & Class Certification
Every overhauled unit undergoes function and load testing before return to service. Class certificates covering brake capacity, SWL and function tests are delivered to owner and vessel.
